About Us > Who We Are: Japanese Translators
Professional Japanese translators in Japanese
Founded by an experienced Japanese translator in 2022, JPTranslators is a network of Japanese translators and linguists based in Japan. All of us have at least a decade of professional experience, and some have more than two decades of experience. More specifically, we are all:
- native Japanese translators and linguists based in Japan
- professionally specialized in one or more fields, such as medical
- not users of generative AI tools to complete jobs
- bilingual translators who have studied at the college level (or equivalent) in the source language(s)
- using the source language(s) as his/her working language(s) for decades
Our Mission
To empower clients to succeed in doing business in Japan and collaborating with Japanese companies. We achieve this by providing cost‑effective, AI‑free, and authentically human translation services you can trust.
Our Vision
To be recognized as the most dependable partner for Japanese translation and communication. Through our dedication to supporting clients’ continued growth and success, we strive to evolve, improve, and reinvent ourselves.
Our Values
We, as professional Japanese translators, believe that language is more than words. It is a tool for expression that reflects the cultural values, beliefs, customs, and traditions of a community or country. For this reason, we translate from scratch without using AI tools.
Our Policy
Our clients’ privacy is our utmost priority. For this reason, we don’t disclose clients’ names in marketing, such as testimonials, even without an NDA. As professional Japanese translators, we firmly believe that self-promotion is less important than professional ethics.
Our Story – Why and When We Started
After years of translating as subcontractors from behind the curtain of agencies, we realized something was missing. We never hear from the people who actually use the translation that we carefully crafted.
Working with agencies, even prestigious ones, is akin to shooting in the dark. Subcontractor translators are almost always out of the loop and left in the dark. We hardly know what clients want or why they need translation.
Finally, we decided to disrupt the status quo by stepping out of the intermediary’s shadow. Our strong ambitions and intentions motivated us to start building this website. It all happened in 2022.
Ever since, fueled by ambition and passion, our network of Japanese translators have been assisting our clients with ambition and passion to succeed.
How We Are – Maintaining a lean structure to ensure the best value for money
At JPTranslators, minimizing overhead is our top priority. Our intention is to maximize not our profit, but the quality of services we provide for clients. We are almost obsessed with offering the best possible service for our clients’ success.
To make it happen, we’ve built our operations around efficiency and resourcefulness. By working from home, involving trusted family members, and embracing multitasking, we significantly reduced overhead expenses.
As you may guess, the savings never end up in our pockets. Our high ambition sets us apart from the average translation companies or LSPs. All the money saved goes into what is truly important:
Spending on the best professional human linguists and Japanese translators who deliver superior services for our clients.
